Hospital Flats Campground sits where the Kern River carves through the southern Sierra Nevada, at an elevation that keeps summer days warm and nights crisp. Since 1956, families, anglers, and mountain seekers have found their base camp here — among towering pines, along shaded riverbanks, and under skies so clear they feel closer than anywhere else.

We don't chase trends or overcrowd our sites. What we offer is deliberate: spacious riverfront campsites, comfortable cabins built to last, and a quiet that lets you actually hear the river. That's the standard we've held for seven decades, and it's the reason guests keep coming back.
